The cited reference gives as an example the plane quartic
x^4 + y^4 + z^4 + c*(x^2*y^2 + x^2*z^2 + y^2*z^2) = 0
where c satisfies c^2 + 3*c + 1 = 0.
A hyperelliptic example is provided by the curve
y^2 = (x + 2)*(x + 10)*(x^2 + 6)*(x^2 + 10)*(x^2 + 6*x + 3).
